So Much Fun!!

We have been having so much fun watching Olivia play and grow! She does the cutest things, and just cracks us up all the time!

She likes to asks us to walk with her around the house. She says "walk" and grabs our finger and leads us back and forth across the house. She loves it!

She has a couple bath time finger puppet animals and she likes to put them on the ledge. She says “friends” “hug” “kiss” “havin a party”. and then makes them lay down and says “asleep”. Then stands them back up and says “wake up”. So cute!

If I’m cooking, she usually wants to be held. She tugs my pants and says “hold you” or “hold it” (“it” meaning her of course haha!)

Sometimes when she’s asking us for something, she then says what it is she wants us to say - just know we know what the proper response should be of course. So she’ll say “This?” - her universal request word - surprisingly it’s usually easy to pin-point what “this” refers to in any given situation. Well, now she says “This? Ok baby. Here you go baby.”

She is definitely loving the word “No”. Especially at supper time. If she is not into whatever is on her plate, she likes to say “No” and push it away. And keeping pushing it until it’s as far away from her as she can reach. It’s adorable. Really. Anyway, when she says no, Dusty usually asks “Are you sure?”. You know, to give her an opportunity to change her mind. So she has started pre-emptively informing him so he doesn’t have to ask by saying “No. Sure.” To which he responds “Ok”. So of course she’s tacked that on. Us: “Olivia, do you want some green beans?” Olivia: “No. Sure. Ok.”

Some other new sayings of hers:

  • “Down-dy-down” - when she wants to get down from her high chair or us holding her
  • “Loud-y-loud” - when I’m using the blender to make a smoothie or vacuuming
  • “Round-y-round” - when we are using the washing machine or the kitchen aid to either mix batter or grate cheese - she LOVES watching when we grate cheese!
  • “Light-y-light” - apparently she just likes to add an “-y” to alot of her words haha!
  • “Yogurt-y” - when she really, REALLY wants yogurt :)
  • “See-po-po” - sweet potatoes
  • “Tee-mo-mo” - tomatoe
  • “Gab-et-ty” - spaghetti
  • “Buck-a-books" - she likes to hang out in her crib sometimes, and lately with a bunch of books

Catchin' snowflakes!!

And after work, there was the snow on the ground!

bubbles!!

Often when we go to take a picture of something cute, we get this face
because she wants to look at the pictures that are already on the camera

Cutest Bath Baby Ever!

Sorting clothes given to us by a friend, and somehow, bloomers ended up on her head!

Because shorts make a fabulous hat!

Where's Olivia?

There she is!

"Buck-a-books"

She has figured out how to put on this kitty cat hat (backwards), and loves to wear it all the time

Olivia has recently really started to like coloring! She didn't care for it for a long time, but now she goes to town!
We ask her what she's drawing and it's usually "babies, kitties, or teddy bears" or sometimes "eggs or noses"

Dusty's favorite show as a kid was the old live action Batman show, and he's been watching it with Olivia.
She loves the theme song! and says "There he is. Batman" when they show up in the Batmobile.
Oh, and she calls it the "Batman-bile" hahaha!

Batmobile vs Castle

Finally warm enough to walk outside!

She likes to stay in her crib awhile sometimes while I make her breakfast

Very important phone call.

Showing batman the batman show on the tv

"Pictures" (As in look at them on the camera)

pretending she's cooking while i'm cooking

She wanted to take her buddies for a walk

I handed the sunglasses to her and then got in the car. This is what I saw in the mirror!
