36 Weeks - Family hosts a Baby Shower

I have the best family a girl could ask for!! So kind, thoughtful and supportive, and that's just on a normal day! The shower they hosted for me was amazing! It was a woodland theme, which goes along with baby girl's nursery, and there were so many fun details! Including a food spread that looked like a forest! I couldn't believe how many people came in from out of town - even out of state!  And we are overwhelmed by everyone's kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity! Our baby girl is already so loved, and we are so lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives!! Can't wait for our little lady to meet them all!!

Jill, Dusty's Mom, coordinated the invitation list and mailed them out. They turned out so cute! And Jen had the sweet idea to ask people to send a book with their gift instead of a card. This part was kept a surprise from me, and we of course loved it! We can't have too many books for our children's library!! Jen also coordinated all the baby shower games, and put a lot of thought into finding games that everyone would enjoy. All the ladies seemed to really have a good time.

Molly hosted the shower at her house, and had wonderful decorations! She also made an amazing diaper cake! Sooo cute!! And Chad printed the adorable bunny banner (Taken from my favorite quote from the Disney Robin Hood Movie). And many thanks to Molly for taking great pictures of the whole thing!

Kari designed and created this forest-themed smorgasbord! complete with mushroom cupcakes, toadstool meringue, and a river populated with swedish fish! There were many other delectable treats as well, including a watermelon baby brought by Kristy, and adorable candy party favors made and shipped all the way from Florida (!) by Jill's cousin Pam! It was impossible not to make multiple trips to this delicious land of milk and honey, leaving every time with a heaping full plate!!

I had some very sweet helpers assisting me with present opening - they were especially excited when it came time to open their personal presents for Baby Girl Evely!

Jill made this blanket, and hand stitched the quilting
Aunt Gail makes quilts for each new baby in the family, and here are the 3 she made for our Baby Girl Evely, Lilli, and Lucinda (an "adopted" Evely!)
